travel cruising the world sapphire princess south america

This cruise was a much-needed break that checked off a few things on our bucket lists.
We flew to Houston for a 5 hour layover then on to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where we boarded the Sapphire Princess for a 32 day cruise around South America and back to Los Angeles.
This was the longest cruise we had ever been on... and we probably could have skipped the last 10 days.
We were to arrive at 7:30 AM in Buenos Aires and we were told ahead of time that we would probably have to wait until about 10:00 AM before transport would be available to the ship.
Since the ship stayed another day in Buenos Aires, and we had an out-of-town tour booked for that next day, I was hoping to get to the ship early enough to find an afternoon tour of Buenos Aires.
Surprise! There were enough passengers arriving early that Princess moved their ship transfer up to about 8:00 AM.
Since the cabins wouldn't be ready until about 11:00 or so, we got a 2-1/2 to 3 hours tour of the city for free... a great start to a great trip.
As usual, we enjoyed our days at sea with sightseeing, games, some great entertainment, and all the food we could eat.
All in all, another much needed and greatly appreciated vacation.
